news

So pretty clearly the biggest news of the day is that -a terrorist plot to blow up planes in mid-flight from the UK to the US has been uncovered. I was very puzzled when I watched the news this morning.

Thanks heaven, this was Foiled.

The most obvious effect to most people who are flying soon will be that there is now no hand luggage allowed on planes - you can take tickets, passports and wallets aboard in a transparent plastic bag. No laptops are allowed on the plane. No gaming devices. No iPods. With news about the foiled terror plot in Britain still unfolding, it’s still a little early to jump to conclusions. But apparently the people who have been arrested so far were young, British citizens of Asian decent—Pakistani to be exact.

American Airlines, Continental and the US Airways- were their core target. These are the airlines we frequently travel. It still gives me eerie feeling thinking about this incidence.

My sister is flying back to London next week and Prasanna is flying to CA on Tuesday. It will be quite chaotic at the airport. No labtops, no music, no handbags.... wow!
